Elsa Rios
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Elsa Rios, MBA, as our new Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center, effective July 21st.
Elsa brings over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in hospital operations, support services, and healthcare administration. She has a strong track record of enhancing
operational performance, leading multidisciplinary teams, and driving initiatives that improve patient care, regulatory compliance, and sustainability.
Most recently, Elsa served as Market Director for Facilities Management in CommonSpirit Health’s Central Coast Market, overseeing FMEI and NRES operations for seven hospitals, and
more than 190 ambulatory care sites. Her accomplishments include supporting large-scale capital projects, advancing environmental sustainability initiatives, and optimizing cross-facility
performance. Prior to that, she served as Senior Director of Support Services at Dignity Health – Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where she led departments including Facilities,
Environmental Services, Safety, Emergency Management, Security, and more.
Elsa holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. In her free time, Elsa enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors with her husband and five-year-old daughter. She shared that she is proud to become a part of the GMHHC family because of our shared commitment to compassionate care and community service.
