Senior Services

The Glendale Parks & Open Space Foundation is proud to support the City of Glendale’s Senior Services Program.

For 24 years, the Recreation Section of the Community Services and Parks Department has supervised all of the City’s Senior Services programs. Operating out of the Adult Recreation Center, Glendale’s Senior Services Program has served the city’s growing elderly population with dignity and compassion. These services – which include Care Management, Congregate Meals, Home Delivered Meals, and Case Management – have allowed seniors to stay safely in their homes avoiding the high financial and physical cost of premature institutionalization.

Proceeds from the Verdugo Mountains 10K Trail Run and Hike have allowed the Parks & Open Space Foundation to provide unrestricted funds so support the Senior Services program.
