Projects - One Glendale Youth After School Sports Program

One Glendale is a partnership between the Glendale Parks & Open Space Foundation, Glendale Unified School District, Dignity Health Glendale Memorial Hospital, and the City of Glendale that provides free after-school co-ed sports for elementary-aged students south of the 134 freeway.

Outcomes include:

Improved confidence and leadership skills (90%)

Improved behavior at home and at school (90%)

Improved grades (76%)

Eating more fruits and vegetables (84%) and drinking water instead of soda or juice (86%)

Losing weight (65%)

One Glendale is the 2017 Recipient of the The Henry Reining Outstanding Organization Award by the Southern California chapter of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA), presented to an organization whose accomplishments have significantly contributed to good government or improved quality of life in the Southern California area.
